Abstract

The aim of this study is to (1) develop an Android-based learning medium that utilizes Virtual Reality technology to enhance students' academic performance on the topic of Norms in My Life, (2) determine the validity and feasibility of the learning medium, (3) assess the practicality of the learning medium, and (4) evaluate the effectiveness of the Android-based learning medium in improving students' academic performance on the topic of Norms in My Life using Virtual Reality technology. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D) using Luther's development model. Data collection techniques involved questionnaires, tests, and documentation with the research subjects being students of SD Negeri 31 Tanjungpandan Belitung. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive statistics. The research results indicate that the development of Android-based learning media with virtual reality on the topic of "Norms in My Life" for Grade V significantly improves students' learning outcomes. The development process included the stages of conceptualization, design, material collection, creation, testing, and distribution. Validation by subject matter and media experts showed that the media was highly feasible, with scores of 96.65% and 81%, respectively. Limited trials with students and teachers also showed highly feasible results, with scores of 92.2% and 96.8%. Practicality tests by students and teachers yielded scores of 89.5% and 97.5%, both in the "highly practical" category. The effectiveness test demonstrated a significant improvement from the pretest to the posttest, indicating that this media is effective in enhancing students' learning outcomes.
